This article identifies the opportunities and problems related to the development of agrotourism in Samarkand and proposes ways to solve them in order to support the sustainable development of the region. The purpose of the study is to assess the potential of agrotourism as a means of sustainable development in the historically and culturally significant region of Uzbekistan. Various methodological approaches, including scientific literature, statistical data, SWOT and PEST analyses, as well as surveys and interviews with local residents and tourism experts, were used and described in detail.
