This article examines the historical content of the creation of state sovereign funds, the experience of sovereign funds and their management in developed countries, foreign experience of state sovereign funds, based on the specific characteristics of the state. It is devoted to the consideration of sovereign funds as subjects of economic and political relations, as well as to the analysis of forms of activity in the conditions of modern global politics and economics.
