To study the morphofunctional characteristics of the endocrinocytes of the small intestine in the process of absorption.Material and methods: The experiments were carried out on white outbred rats at the age of 1, 3, 7 and 14 days after birth, which were breastfed.Results: In the mucous membrane of mature mammals there is a powerful endocrine apparatus, which, by its mediators, the nature of interaction with immune, nervous formations, epitheliocytes, loose connective tissue, performs short-range and long-range regulation of closely interconnected processes of digestion and absorption, adaptation and homeostasis, feedback between functional gastrointestinal and CNS systems.Conclusions: A normally functioning endocrine apparatus of the intestinal mucosa also contributes to active digestion in the oral cavity.
