The use ofarticaine-containing anesthetics (UltracainW-C and Ultracain'-’D) in pediatric dentistry for children aged under four years is substantiated in the article. The authors' conclusion was based on the analysis of the published research results, on the detailed study of the original instructions for the use of articaine-contained anesthetics and the legislative framework for dealing with drugs in the Russian Federation. The retrospective data of 171 cases of Ultracaine use for local anesthesia in pediatric dental practice confirmed its safety and efficiency for children under four years of age.
