Gender differences were established in prognostically significant risk factorsfor the combination of stroke and MI: for women - age over 70 years, PVC, PEAK, CHF andMA, duration of hypertension over 17 years, dyslipidemia; for men - age over 60 years, CHF,PVC, PICS, MA, LVH, smoking, duration of hypertension for more than 7 years. When collecting anamnestic information in patients with ischemic stroke, a complex of risk factors for the development of a combination of stroke and myocardial infarction (post infarction cardio sclerosis, chronic heart failure, and heart rhythm disturbances) should be identified and, if any, included in the high-risk group.
