Issues of gender equality are very important in today's international relations and world politics. Events of different nature observed in different regions of the world led to the embodiment of women not only as an active subject in world politics (in education, management, peacekeeping, economic processes), but also as an important object of social relations. Also, as a result of poverty, internal conflicts, diseases, economic and political crises, it has become a demand of the time to focus on the issue of women as a segment of the population in need of social protection. At the same time, the issues of gender equality began to be clearly manifested as a voluntary-compulsory obligation for countries. There are international fundamental documents guaranteeing the full-blooded provision of human rights and observance of gender equality, and many of them are of an imperative nature. In this scientific article, the author tries to justify the political power of the gender phenomenon from a legal point of view.
