This article is based on the fact that over the years of independence in Uzbekistan, all measures implemented by the state and society to ensure gender equality have become an integral part and one of the priorities of reforms in the political and social sphere. In this process, the activities of the Women's Committee of Uzbekistan (1991-2020), dealing with women's issues were studied. It is also analyzed that the adoption of new laws ensuring the rights and freedoms of women and their implementation are manifested in reforms and changes in the political, economic and social spheres.
