Annotatsiya

This article examines changes in the territorial structure and management system of valley cities after the conquest of the Kokan Khanate by the Russian Empire, the emergence of “new” and “old” urban parts in cities, as well as the differences between them, changes in the social life of city residents, illuminated on a scientific basis. The policy of the colonialists, the attention paid to the “new” cities in the cities of the Fergana Valley, the fact that the life of the population in the “old urban” part was artificially drawn into the whirlpool of difficulties, the processes of urbanization and deurbanization of this period.
