This article analyzes the standard of living and way of life of the population of the Khorezm region on the eve of the Second World War. The article shows that women in the region began to interfere in production out of fear of the repressive policies of the Soviet government, in fact, men took over all the work in all areas of industry and agriculture. On the eve of the war, the standard of living of the inhabitants of the province was moderate. In addition to working in all spheres of production, Khorezmians were also active in public life. They attended clubs, went to theatrical performances, to red tea houses and made cultural Croats, which were demonstrated based on information from periodicals.
