In the article, paying tribute to the achievements of the historiography of Karakalpakstan, the actual problems of historical science in the future are shown. In particular, historical events in the region in the 20th century and at the beginning of the 21st century were not reflected in the articles and books of historians, archival documents were not introduced into scientific circulation.
