The article analyzes the organization and activities of the 19th Uzbek Mountain Cavalry Division, which was considered the largest military unit in the Uzbek SSR during the Soviet era, as well as the policy of repression against the officers of the division, the causes and consequences of this policy. The article also provides information about military experts of the 19th Uzbek Mountain Cavalry Division, who were repressed in 1937-1938, which was called the “Great terror” by the Soviet authorities.
