This article describes the changes in the judicial system of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the first decade of independence. In particular, the development of the legal framework of the judicial system, the role of the courts in the fight against crime, reforms in the formation of the judiciary were analyzed on the basis of a comparative study of a number of sources.
