In the unified national policy of the soviet state, the role of the Central Asian region was high, in which, due to the cotton-growing specialization, the national economy of Uzbekistan was of particular importance. In the republic, a unified centralized national economic planning has strengthened the process of land cultivation, which led to the poisoning of cotton fields with various chemicals. The article analyzes the nature protection, and also notes that under the slogan «chemicalization is a requirement of the time» on the excessive use of chemicals, which led to a deterioration in soil quality as a result of the uncontrolled use of toxic chemicals. By studying archival sources and scientific literature, the consequences of threats are revealed.
