The policy of the Soviet state's economic management is linked to zoning, and Uzbekistan has a special importance among the economic regions of the country. Apart from cotton in the Ferghana economic district, where most of the agricultural products are produced, special attention is paid to silkworm breeding. The article analyzes the role of the Ferghana region in various sources and publications.
