The article examines the concept of an innovative economy and its role in modern economic development. The main characteristics, theoretical foundations and factors that play an important role in the development of an innovative economy are analyzed. Strategies for building an innovative economy based on global experience and the example of Uzbekistan are also considered. The article also reflects effective methods and future trends aimed at stimulating innovation.
