The article is devoted to the actual problems of the development of technological competence of a teacher in the context of the application of innovative educational technologies. The technological approach is considered as a methodological regulatory of the studied process in the innovative activity of an educational institution. The possibilities of innovative activity of an educational institution as a basis for the development of technological competence of a teacher, improving the level of his professional skills are substantiated. To solve professional problems, the article considers contextual technologies that act as an effective way to solve the problem under study. Based on the theoretical descriptions (functional and qualitative characteristics), the algorithm of classes conducted with the aim of developing the technological competence of a teacher in the innovative activity of an educational institution is presented.
