This article focuses on Husamuddin Sadri Shahid’s life, scientific activity, and his contribution to the development of the Hanafi school of jurisprudence. He is a member of the famous family of Ali Moza from Bukhara, who lived during the first renaissance of Movarounnahr. In particular, the idea put forward in the article is that the books of reality jurisprudence “woqeat”, devoted to the solution of various religious, social, and economic problems in society, found by Sadr Shahid, that is why he is accounted as a founder of the genre of “woqeat” in jurisprudence and who the first to develop this direction.
