This article examines the life and work of Abul Fath Shahristani (XI-XII centuries), who created his school in the study of the history of religions, based on medieval Arabic sources. Data about works, teachers, and pupils of the scholar are also given. The article also describes the scientific activity of the scientist and his works based on evaluations and objective opinions of scientists of the XII century, various sources, and literature.
