The article deals with the issues of ensuring economic security, development and increasing the profitability of healthcare institutions in the regions. The principles of increasing efficiency and improving the quality of services provided in medical institutions are considered. The factors and features that pose a real threat to the system of economic security in the healthcare sector are identified The problems of ensuring the economic security of the health care sector are revealed, which are manifested in a decrease in budgetary expenditures on health services, an increase in the monetary volume of paid medical services with a decrease in real incomes of the population. It is noted that in order to achieve the required level of economic security of health care, it is necessary to create mechanisms for compensating financial and labor costs that minimize the cost of producing medical services paid for by the state. It has been determined that the level of organization of work in a health care institution helps to reduce the cost of services for patients, increasing their availability, thereby increasing the number of calls, as well as reducing the cost of providing a service, without losing quality, which favorably affects the profitability of medical institutions in the health care system.
