In this article, a sports career is interpreted as a dynamic phenomenon, a constantly changing and developing process. It is noted that human activities can be divided into two large groups. Common activities - play, learning, work, communication, cognition - are more or less inherent in all people. Individual activities include specific types of professional work, art, sports, etc., inherent in certain groups of people. A sports career can be defined as a long-term sports activity aimed at achieving high sporting achievements and associated with the constant self-improvement of a person in one or more sports. It shows the signs of a sports career, the views of scientists on it.
