Annotatsiya

On the basis of scientific analysis, one of the important issues in studying the history of Karakalpakstan is considered - repressions in Karakalpakstan, in particular, the «cotton business». The article analyzes the negative impact on the population of the repressions of 1983-1988. In addition, the article discusses the methods of investigation, based on the memoirs of the inhabitants ofKarakalpakstan, the pages of the history of the period under study are restored.
