This article examines the theoretical aspects of sentencing and leniency, as well as practical issues related to leniency. At the end of the article, the author analyzes the national criminal legislation in the priority direction provided for in the Address of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the Oliy Majlis and the People of Uzbekistan dated December 26, 2025, and develops proposals for improving the criminal law and improving the norm of leniency for crimes committed against minors.
