Laparoscopic treatment of strangulated hernias of the anterior abdominal wall is a modern and minimally invasive method of surgical intervention, providing minimal tissue trauma, shortening the rehabilitation period and reducing the risk of postoperative complications. The article discusses indications for laparoscopic intervention, technical aspects of the operation, advantages over open methods and possible complications. Particular attention is paid to the issues of diagnostics, choice of hernioplasty technique and features of patient management in the postoperative period. Laparoscopic hernioplasty demonstrates high efficiency and safety, which makes it the preferred method for treating strangulated hernias of the anterior abdominal wall.
