Preventive measures contribute to the prevention and elimination of the consequences of activities that harm the environment and humans, the restoration of destroyed ecosystems and components. The system of organizational and preventive measures includes the following components: environmental control, environmental regulation, environmental impact assessment, environmental expertise, environmental audit, environmental certification, certification of industrial and economic facilities, licensing of environmentally significant activities, environmental education and upbringing system, public participation in making environmentally significant decisions. Environmental control can be viewed from two perspectives. Firstly, as a function of environmental protection management.
