Burn injury remains as a serious medical and economic problem. Complication rate and mortality level in burn patients is high. Besides that, the treatment of burn patients and long-term hospital stay is considered too expensive, requiring their rehabilitation and subsequent repair of scars. In patients with severe burn injuries, traditional predictor of adverse outcomes is age, presence of thermal inhalation injury and critical area of burn wound. Unfortunately, the possibility of mortality remains high in patients with trauma after severe burns . At the current stage, laboratory parameters (thrombocytopenia, low hematocrit, hypoalbuminaemia)are included in traditional predictors of outcome in severe thermal injury. Failure to provide timely and effective medical care to the development of infectious complications affects the outcome of the injury. The area of burns is considered the main indicator of the result of thermal injury. The increase in burn area is inversely proportional to the likelihood of patient survival.
