In this article the development of credit relations in Uzbekistan after the acquisition of state independence is analyzed, the significant influence of the banking system of the Soviet Union on the process of formation and development of the independent credit system of the Republic of Uzbekistan is shown, the preservation of certain administrative functions of commercial banks and a large share of the state in their authorized capital is indicates as a legacy of the Soviet state-administrative banking system. The article focuses on the creation and improvement of the legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan regulating credit relations.
