In the modern era of global supply chains and the rapid growth of e-commerce, logistics facilities are experiencingincreasing demands for speed, accuracy, and operational cost-efficiency. This paper provides a comprehensiveanalysis of Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV) systems as a key component of contemporary warehouse automation. Itexamines the technological evolution of AGVs, comparing traditional infrastructure-dependent guidance mechanisms withadvanced Natural Navigation and Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM) technologies. The study highlights theeffective integration of AGVs with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and emphasizes the transformative potentialof 5G connectivity in enhancing warehouse operations, coordination, and overall supply chain efficiency.
