SOCIAL PROTECTION POLICY OF UZBEKISTAN: REFORMS AND RESULTS

This article examines the evolution of Uzbekistan’s social protection reforms, with particularattention to the Social Protection Single Registry, institutional consolidation, and the national social protectionstrategy. Based on an analysis of policy documents, international reports, and empirical data, the studyidentifies improvements in the coverage of vulnerable groups, the digitalization of service delivery, and thedevelopment of institutional mechanisms. At the same time, challenges related to informal employment, limitedfinancial resources, and regional disparities remain. The findings indicate that sustained investment, effectivecoordination, and evidence-based policy development are important for expanding social protection coverageand advancing progress toward the Sustainable Development Goals by 2030
