ABSTRACT: This article presents an analysis of the word "path" from a lexical, semantic, grammatical, and linguopoetic perspective. It illustrates how semantic changes occurring in individual words during the development of a language have an impact on the grammatical level, resulting in the possibility of interspecific migration. Words that transition into the category of auxiliaries lose their capacity to convey a dictionary meaning and instead shift towards a grammatical function. The study identifies instances of synonymy with consonant suffixes. These formal and substantive changes do not eliminate the full name's semantic value in auxiliary lexical units; rather, they serve as auxiliaries in one context and as an independent word category in another. Initially, a functional auxiliary verb is formed, and over time, through a process spanning several years, pure auxiliary verbs emerge. This article also examines the expression of customary and occasional meanings as an artistic invention of the author, discussing lexical, grammatical, and semantic challenges, as well as the auxiliary function associated with this phenomenon. Keywords: common, occasional, auxiliary, grammatical meaning, functional, sema.
