ABSTRACT The method of "analytical reading" contributes to the formation of students' ability to penetrate deeply into the text of a work, deeply feel its content, critical thinking skills, forms the ability to feel the beauty of the world and man by means of a literary text. When analyzing a text, first of all it is required to have a literary pronunciation, expressive reading and a rich language stock. Therefore, the lesson on this technique requires the student to master the subtleties of the meaning of words, the ability to work with a dictionary of synonyms, antonyms, homonyms, paronyms, as well as the ability to distinguish and independently analyze all methodological and syntactic means (tropes and figures). In accordance with these requirements, chronic and systematic exercises are performed and tasks are assigned. In this article, 9-class [1;8-16] we will discuss the excerpt from the text of the epic “Alpomish" given in the literature textbook by the method of analytical reading. Key words: analytical reading, phonetic analysis, lexical analysis, phraseological analysis, literary analysis, proverb, riddle, exaggeration.
