The article discusses the causes of erroneous and deliberately false expert conclusions. It is shown that the absolute majority of erroneous conclusions are given due to the incompetence of the expert. It is proved that the current system of certification of experts does not allow to identify the actual level of qualification of experts and proposals have been made to objectify this system.
