This article highlights the pedagogical works of Abdullah Avloni, an outstanding representative of the Jadid movement of Turkestan, one of the famous figures of the Uzbek national culture of the late 19th - early 20th centuries. They examine the negative vices of people, bad habits, tragic consequences of smoking, alcohol and drug use. It is emphasized that giving up these habits is a necessary aspect of a healthy lifestyle. The educator's views on human health, physical culture and physical education are also presented.
