Опилки в основном используются в качестве наполнителя вместе с сельскохозяйственными отходами для компостирования, что дает преимущества водопоглощения, пористости и регулирования соотношения С/ N. Целью исследования было сравнение характеристик компоста с различными частицами опилок на основе температуры, влажности, содержания питательных веществ и индекса зрелости (зрелости) компоста. Для частиц меньшего размера относительно легко удалось поддерживать более высокую и постоянную температуру. Однако значительных изменений температур в различных пропорциях смешивания компонентов не наблюдалось. рH и влажность в соотношении 6:2 были немного выше, чем в соотношении 5:3, и к 21-му дню pH снизился, стабилизировавшись на уровне 9,0 на 56-й день. Существенных различий в изменении рН не наблюдалось. Таким образом, существует положительное влияние на стандартизацию процесса компостирования для контроля качества и экономики, поскольку компостирование сельскохозяйственных отходов показало более высокую скорость смешивания опилок и более высокую степень зрелости при использовании опилок меньшего размера.
