This article is devoted to the study of Uzbek and Karakalpak folk parables. The Uzbek and Karakalpak folk parables «Биринчи бало» ва «Бир бәлеси болмаса, шүдигарда балық не жесин!» («First trouble» and «If there is no trouble, how the there is fish!») are mainly analyzed. Translations of two fraternal peoples were analyzed with a comparative typological point of view, and conclusions were drawn based on examples.
