The article analyzes concepts that study the analysis of patterns of gender-based crime. Attention is paid to the peculiarities of female and male crime. The causes and conditions of circumstances affecting the commission of a crime have been identified. Such approaches in the study of criminal behavior as criminality associated with violence in childhood, theories of muscularity and femininity, risk-taking or risky behavior, the theory of opportunities, the study of gender from the point of view of their deviance are considered. The author suggests further research of issues related to the commission of crimes by women and men, as well as prospects for the dynamics of social change.
