As in any field of activity, the personality of a serviceman and his activities also have their drawbacks and professional violations. The scientific study of such processes and the prevention of negative consequences is one of the urgent tasks of modern science. The article describes the orientation of the military profession in a transformation society, the interest and activity of a person in military service. The choice of a military profession, service, professional development in the military sphere, pedagogical and psychological aspects of professional violations in military personnel are considered. An attempt was made to find out the causes, factors and manifestations of professional disorders. Long-term experience, working conditions and other causes of professional misconduct of military personnel are considered.
