The article deals with some theoretical and practical issues of literary translation on the material of the translation of the epos “Kirk kiz” into the Uzbek language. The translator’s skill in the interpretation of images of the main characters of the poem is important in translation. The author gives the analysis and generalization of the translation of the epos into Uzbek.
