visible changes in the environment and associated natural risks and disasters are causing significant concern to the global community. This issue is particularly important given the clear demonstration of the negative consequences of natural events and their impact on human lives and the scale of financial and economic losses. Under these circumstances, innovative research aimed at studying the causes of natural hazards and their prevention is essential. This work is of interest to scientific organizations and enterprises from various sectors of the economy. Among these are insurance companies as part of a risk management system aimed, among other things, at reducing the potential for natural risks and minimizing the consequences of disasters. This article presents selected examples of European insurance companies, gathered through research conducted as part of a state assignment to the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation in 2025.
