The article examines some aspects of the processes of formation and transformation of Islamic education in Russia, which began with the collapse of the Soviet Union and the subsequent renaissance in the religious life of this country. Changes in the system of providing religious education that occurred under the influence of modern trends and social challenges in this country are analyzed.
