This article analyzes the importance of proso millet (Panicum miliaceum L.) in the national economy and its current relevance in modern agriculture. Its drought resistance, low water requirements, and nutritional value are discussed. The role of millet in food security, livestock production, and sustainable development is also considered. Based on scientific literature, its agronomic and economic advantages are evaluated, along with its prospects under climate change conditions.
