The article analyzes the ethnocultural identity of traditional Karakalpak games andthe transformations that have occurred in the process of their historical development. The content,structural structure, performance rules, the role of the leader, oral poetic elements such as calls,enumerations and distributions of children's and mass games formed in accordance with thenomadic and semi-sedentary lifestyle of the Karakalpak people are interpreted as the ethnic memoryand cultural code of the people. In the current conditions of rapid penetration of digitaltechnologies, the decline in the popularity of national games, the impact of this situation on theupbringing of youth and national identity are assessed, and scientific and practical conclusions aredrawn on the preservation, study and integration of traditional games into the modern educationalsystem.
