This article is devoted to the use of English in the scientific literature, for philological specialties. As a dynamic system, any language cannot be limited to its “own” lexical means, so words learned from English, among other fields, enter the field of scientific activity, including linguistics. The article provides a comprehensive analysis of the degree expression of the functional style of scientific texts written in the language of scientific works, using words derived from English, and the richness of terms related to the field of linguistics.
