The article analyzes the existing indices of evaluation of youth policy at the international and national levels. The author compares the methodologies of these indices and determines the most suitable ones for Uzbekistan, discusses the choice of variables for the index and data collection methods. The proposed index consists of six indicators covering various aspects of youth policy, including the socio-economic situation of youth, social activity of youth, the activities of state bodies for the implementation of youth policy, state youth policy and its infrastructure, information and communication technologies and youth, as well as financing of youth policy. state youth policy. The author proposes a methodology for calculating each component and suggests formulas for combining them into a common index of the effectiveness of state youth policy.
