This article analyzes the life of the Khan of Khiva, Muhammad Rahim Khan Soni Feruzkhan, and his progress in ruling activities. Despite the fact that he was the ruler of a colonial country, his support for the Jadids in the khanate, opposition to the introduction of the Russian currency, the development of literature and art, as well as the printing business are investigated based on sources dating back to that time.
