Искусственный интеллект (ИИ) является неотъемлемой частью практически каждого игрового проекта начиная от компьютерного противника в шахматах заканчивая комплексными системами из крупных ААА игр. ИИ призван предоставить игроку качественный игровой опыт, симулируя реалистичное поведение неигровых персонажей (НИП), а в некоторых играх также заменить реальных игроков-противников. Эта статья предоставляет обзор на современные подходы к проектированию игрового искусственного интеллекта и описывает различные методы его применения в реальных проектах.
