The structure classification of traditionally woven knitted fabrics is based on handwork in the textile industry. This paper proposes an automatic approach to classify three woven fabrics: plain, round, satin weave. First, a 2-D wavelet transform is used to obtain a low-frequency sub-image to reduce the analysis of fabric images.
