This article is devoted to the problem of the nomination of the syntactic unit of the phrase in linguistics and its related variant, and also summarizes the views on the origin of the syntactic unit of the phrase and the phenomenon of variability in them. Existing opinions about the event are analyzed and explained by linguistic evidence.
