Annotatsiya

This article presents the results of a study aimed at developing mathematical models for determining the death period of animals exposed to radioactive irradiation. The relevance of the topic is due to the need to improve the effectiveness of veterinary measures in radiation accidents and emergencies. The authors conducted a clinical, hematological and radiometric examination of cattle and small ruminants exposed to radioactive contamination. Mathematical models of the death index for cattle and small ruminants have been developed, which allow, based on physiological parameters (body temperature, pulse, rumination), to estimate the probability of a fatal outcome and predict the timing of death. The proposed models have been tested in the field and have shown high prognostic value. The results of the study can be used for prompt sorting of affected animals, optimizing the slaughter plan and making decisions on the further use of livestock products.
