Хотя Организaция тюркских государств была создана в XXI веке, экономические, политические и культурные отношения между тюркскими государствами и народами имеют глубокие исторические корни и основаны на традициях сотрудничества, формировавшихся с древнейших времён. Эти отношения развивались на основе этнической близости тюркских народов, их культурно-цивилизaционного единства и взаимного влияния в геополитическом пространстве. Во внешнеполитическом курсе Узбекистана после обретения независимости особое внимание уделяется укреплению сотрудничества с тюркскими государствами, расширению интегрaционных связей и усилению региональной солидарности. Вместе с тем на современном этапе сохраняются определённые проблемы, связанные с углублением интегрaционных институциональных механизмов, процессов, совершенствованием сбалансированным развитием экономического сотрудничества и укреплением общего идеологического подхода. В условиях глобализaции вопросы формирования общетюркской идентичности, сохранения культурной близости и обеспечения региональной стабильности приобретают особую актуалность. В связи с этим в данной статье предпринята попытка раскрыть историческую эволюцию членства Узбекистана в Организaции тюркских государств, а также его социально философскую и идеологическую сущность.
