The article examines the role of cultural heritage as a key factor in shaping and developing the culture of society. It emphasizes that cultural heritage, encompassing both tangible and intangible values, ensures the continuity of historical experience, strengthens national identity, and contributes to the preservation of spiritual traditions. The mechanisms of integrating heritage into the modern socio-cultural space are analyzed, along with its influence on worldviews and value systems, as well as the potential of cultural heritage as a resource for the harmonious development of society in the context of globalization. These issues and trends are examined and illustrated through examples from the regional cultural policy of Tatarstan
